A History of the FIFA World Cup
With the 2018 World Cup ready to get started next weekend, I decided to create a visualization on the history of the tournament. Armed with some data I found on Kaggle, which was curated by Andre Becklas and some additional data from Wikipedia, I created the following visualization which looks at each country that has competed in the World Cup. A big thanks to Chris DeMartini as I wouldn't have been able to create the curves without his blog posts and samples.
